Our Mission
The River Of Life Foundation Study Buddy Program is dedicated to ensuring that every child, regardless of circumstance, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and feel valued. Through compassionate one-on-one tutoring in core subjects, we provide not only academic support but also encouragement, confidence-building, and mentorship.
Our mission is to nurture curiosity, foster resilience, and empower K–5 students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in school and beyond.
How Our Program Got Started
How Our Program Got Started
Since 2013, the River of Life Foundation has partnered with Family Care Services to provide free laptops to hundreds of children from underprivileged families in our local communities. Building on this effort, the ROLF Study Buddy Program was created to support K–5 students who received laptops through the annual Free Laptop Program.
This initiative extends far beyond academics, each child is paired with a dedicated high school student tutor who offers peer-to-peer assistance in reading, writing, math, science, and more. But we’re not just here to help with homework.
We strive to build trust, boost confidence, and inspire a genuine love of learning. Through consistent encouragement, our high school tutors nurture curiosity and help lay the foundation for long-term success.
Ultimately, the program seeks to bridge educational gaps, empower young learners to thrive, strengthen community connections, and open doors to greater opportunities for underprivileged families.
